Who Needs a Visa to Visit Japan?
General Rules and Visa Processing Time
A valid passport with at least 1.5 blank pages left is required.
ISBD will provide letters of invitation for Visa applications if necessary for registered attendees once registration opens.
Japan does not have a 6 month rule- as long as your passport is valid during your time in Japan, it should not be a problem.
