Advocacy and Patient Resources

The Society’s advocacy and patient education activities aim at supporting our mission of “Improving Patients’ Lives” by

  • Promoting education and disseminating information about new discoveries for the cause and treatment of mood disorders as well as ethical issues
  • Liaising with funding agencies and policy makers to promote awareness of the scientific, clinical and public health implications of mood disorders and to ensure that these are prioritized at local, national and international levels

The Society’s advocacy activities are coordinated by a dedicated Advocacy Committee. The Society maintains close links with a wide number of advocacy groups throughout the world.
